A cyborg, "cybernetic organism", translatable as "cybernetic organism" is a human being or at least another intelligent living being, in science fiction, who has received transplants of mechanical or electronic parts.
The term is mainly used in science fiction or futurology; today, using the term, especially for people who have received prostheses, may be perceived as bad taste by those concerned.
